Description

Suntech Inka Growth regulators

  • INKA Plant Growth Regulator is a Suntech Agriscience product.
  • It contains Paclobutrazol 23% SC.
  • It is a highly effective, systemic plant growth retardant and flowering promoter formulated as a suspension concentrate (SC), designed to suppress excessive vegetative growth, balance canopy architecture, induce regular flowering,
  • INKA is used to regulate biennial bearing (alternate bearing) in mango, restrict unwanted shoot elongation, induce early and profuse flowering, promote root development, improve bulb/tuber size, and enhance produce quality and shelf life.
  • It is recommended for mango, onion, potato, garlic, groundnut, and ornamental/fruit crops.

Technical Content of Suntech Inka Growth regulators

  • Paclobutrazol 23% SC

Mode of Action

  • Mode of Entry: Absorbed primarily through the root system (when applied as a collar/soil drench) and translocated acropetally via the xylem vessels to active vegetative meristems; also absorbed through green foliage and stems when used as a foliar spray.
  • Mode of Action: Acts as a Gibberellin Biosynthesis Inhibitor (ent-kaurene oxidase inhibitor). It inhibits the synthesis of gibberellic acid , arresting cell elongation and reducing internodal distance while redirecting photoassimilates and carbohydrates toward reproductive structures, flowering buds, and root/tuber development.

Dosage per Acre

  • Per Litre of Water: 0.5 ml – 1.0 ml (approx. 8 ml – 15 ml per 15-litre spray pump)
  • Per Acre (Foliar Application): 80 ml – 100 ml in 150–200 litres of water (applied during vegetative maturity/bulb initiation stage in onion, garlic, or potato).

Key Features & Benefits

  • Regular & Early Flowering Induction: Overcomes alternate bearing in mango orchards, inducing uniform, timely, and profuse flowering panicles with higher female/hermaphrodite flower ratios.
  • Optimized Canopy & Nutrient Partitioning: Restricts excessive shoot flush and leafy growth, improving light penetration and directing stored food reserves into fruit retention, tuber bulking, and superior harvest quality.
