BARKHA Cauliflower, a high-performing hybrid from Seminis, is ideal for both commercial growers and serious home gardeners. This variety features a slightly open to erect plant type, offering excellent aeration and ease of harvest. It forms semi-dome-shaped, very compact white curds with an average weight of 1 to 1.5 kg, delivering market-preferred size and appearance.

With a maturity window of 65–75 days, Barkha ensures timely harvests and consistent quality. Its good self-covering ability helps protect curds from sun exposure and discoloration, maintaining their bright white color and compact form.

Ideal Growing Conditions & Tips:

• Soil: Well-drained medium or sandy loam

• Germination Temperature: 25–30°C

• Transplanting Time: 25–30 days after sowing

• Spacing: 60 cm (row-to-row), 45 cm (plant-to-plant)

• Seed Rate: 100–120 g per acre

Main Field Preparation:

• Deep plough and harrow the soil thoroughly

• Incorporate 7–8 tons of well-decomposed FYM per acre

• Prepare ridges and furrows at proper spacing

• Apply basal chemical fertilizers before transplanting

• Irrigate one day before transplanting

• Transplant in the late afternoon followed by light irrigation for quick establishment

Fertilizer Management:

1. 6–8 days after transplanting: 50:50:60 NPK kg/acre
